Start off the day with a surprise breakfast. Make waffles and bring out the whipped topping, sprinkles, candies, and even ice cream (heck its only once a year). Then have him chose his favorite activities, such as bowling, fishing, skating, whatever. But let him decide on everything. If it is nice weather, you can take him and friends to a waterpark or lake. Have fun!

Take him and a friend or 2 of his on a "Man Only" trip. Go to a local campground where there is some place to do a little fishing. Bring plenty of "man food" such as burgers dogs and general junk food. This will make him feel like he is grown up and I assure you he will never forget it. It may even become a tradition. You will not regret it

Do a fun theme b-day party. Like a Pirate theme (since Johnny Depp's movie is comming out this week) Pirate hats and pirate eye patches. It will be fun to decorate! Enjoy!

Take him to play broomball at the local ice skating rink with a group of his friends. It's fun and fairly inexpensive.
