when you turn upside down, blood rushes to your head. then why doesnt blood rush to your feet when you are standing?

The vessels in your lower body are smaller in size, thus the flow of blood is restricted. The vessels in your neck/head are very large, thus they have less restriction on the flow of blood. Normally, the heart has the push the blood upwards from the heart to your brain - this requires higher pressures in this area than in your feet. So, when you turn upside down, your heart is pushing along with gravity working, to put too much blood to the brain...

becasue your body was made to stand this way not the other. its a reversal of blood flow and the muscles are not developed to pump away from your head as hard, gravity takes ahold of most of the work. so i would guess if you stod on you head most your life standing on your feet would hurt

because ur brain is in ur head and the brain obtains or sucks up the most blood.
