Get the poor thing checked! My mom's cat did that once and the vet said he had laryngitis.

My first thought is that perhaps he has an object stuck in his throat. One of my cats once had a rose bush stem stuck behind his teeth and down his throat. I had no idea until I took him to the vet. I think it's better to be safe than sorry and find out fast. If your kid did that, you would be in the emergency room right now.

Take him to the vet.
My cat quacks like a duck, but he's always done that. He's a very squashed face Persian so I'm guessing that's why he sounds so funny.

Take him or her to the vet immeadiatly. That is a sign of a Urinary Track infection. If thecat starts peeing blood in places like the bathtub (it could be red or an offcolored brownish) he or she definately has a ut infection. changing ther food you give it will prevent one in the furute, but not cure it. take it to your vet soon.

no big deal. as long as your cat is still eating and drinking it's fine. i've had cats that make no sound, started out making sound and then stopped, and cats that don't stop making noise. your kitty sounds fine to me as long as there are no symptoms of illness.

Maybe your cat is starting to get or has a respiratory infection. That can affect their voice box.

maybe your cat finds it harder to meow in warmer weather? Or she's half asleep and talking in her sleep
