I am serious what holds you back if you haven't? Are you afraid too (that would be understandable)? Your here now so why if you haven't done it are you holding off?
Taking too long or it is hard-is not an answer (those reasons can be met). Money-not that much compared to other things.
And yes I saw the requirements. I am all ears-tell me some reasons. Help me understand.

and Mindi-I would not support the Democrats on their bill -at all (ever). But what is stopping them -what parts of the law now?

Actually, there is a big run both on legalization and citizenship applications going on now. Every few days there is an article in the press.

You say that you are aware of the requirements.
It seems that you are ignorant of them.
An illegal cannot apply for legal status while inside the borders of the US or its territories.
That can only be done by one who has some sort of legal status and wishes for a change of status.
ALL illegals MUST leave the US, apply in their own country, and list where they have been living for the past (5-10 yr, I forgot which)
If they list that they have been liing here they will be asked for proof of legal status, and when they cannot produce it, they will be denied

Our senators are being so ignorant to not understand that it`s going to be a bigger burden to legalize than what they think of it. I personally know of people who have started calling their wives, husbands, nieces, nephews to Canada, so they can easily be transferred to USA, and once they are here, the Bill passes, they can pay a few more Dollars, make false papers, and ALL of them will be LEGAL. Do our senators want that? or do they even know that???Wake up before it is too late..

Why would they bother? They have been breaking the laws and continue to break the laws, so now why should they start following the law? A criminal is a criminal.
