because they have missed you I mean if the puppy's excited that you came home then probably it means that you have let the pup home for a couple of hours or either that its hungry, thirsty, or has 2 use th bathroom or mybe they just want sum attention and love. i mean dogs need a lot of care and attention or they will accustom 2 b lonely n aggressive(they'll b agressive bcuz they wont have no physical contact with humans)thats why dogs are so excited when they're owners come home

It is natural for them to greet that way, regardless if it was you or someone else coming to your house. But to establish your leadership in the pack the greeting should be ignored because normally a pack leader (in an actual dog only pack) would not tolerate this behavior to them specifically.

Because they are conditioned to connect you getting home as them getting attention.

number one is that they are true loyal friends and they have missed you all day. they want to greet you and make you happy to see them as they are to see you and number two they want to make sure you do not ignore the fact that they love you but they also need to go out because they have been a good boy/girl and done nothing wrong all day BUT PLEASE TAKE ME OUT SO I DON'T DO ANYTHING WRONG

They have been lonely, and are happy to see you. Dogs get separation anxiety bad. They depend on you and want your affection.

cause they sit home all day doing nothing........then when you get home you can give them all the attention that they desire plus feed them. Thats why they say dogs are mans best friend.
