I discovered an all natural product that treated my depression much better than any psych. meds ever did.

Last year I was put on "Lexapro," an anti-depressant prescribed by my doctor after I had just been through a very traumatic experience. Upon using Lexapro I noted that I felt even more depressed and severely suicidal. The owner of the holistic center I frequently visit for massages recommended a vitamin for my depression and gave me a bottle for trial purposes.
This product was a mixture of vitamins and antioxidants, all used to improve brain function, as well as mental health. At first I was skeptical but after using "Empower Plus" for about 1 month I noticed an improvement. After about 2 months I noticed that my depression was pretty much gone!

The product is called Empower Plus and can be found at www.truehope.com. It is a bit pricey and runs around $80 for 228 capsules. Since the initial "stacking time" on the product requires about 12 capsules a day, this can become quite costly. However, I did find that the product was well worth it. There is nothing "unnatural" within these capsules.

You should go to the Website and read the research and case studies contacted, if you are having doubts. All I can say is that this worked really well for me and I would use it again.

I have made a good recovery from depression, but still feel vulnerable to it. I have used prescribed medication.

I am a mental health nurse - and feel i should know all the cures!!!

The one - non-medical trhing that helped me the most was coginitive behavioural therapy. It concentrates on making changes to the way you see and think about things, people who are depressed often see things very negatively and this therapy challenges those patterns of thinking. It can be done through self help books, but I feel for it to be truely effective a good therapist is more helpful. I also feel having something positive to look forwards to is also important.

Make changes in your life and start today!!!

There is a herb/root called St John's Wort (hypericum perforatum....?) that is available from many health stores (at least here in the UK)...... It does have beneficial properties in mild forms of depression, without the complications of clinical drugs (such as SSRI's )

It is available in a variety of 'strengths' although the 'Active Ingredient' is about the same!

It's best consulting your Doctor before taking, as there are known side-effects for some people and it takes the body 2 days (roughly) to matobolise (and expell) a standard dose!

It can also cause problems in women if Pregnant in certain circumstances!

Natural Solution, but not without Responsibilty!

Well the St johns wart was recommend to me, it helps disperse serotonin naturally, look at a bottle in your local health store for dosage.

There are also many other things you can do, aromatherapy, acupuncture, massages etc.
These focus on you becoming rrelaxed, and when your elaxed you become more stable.

Some people also try Chinese medicine but i know very little about this.

Exercise is another good one, but make it gentle, something that you can cope with on "down" days, like yoga, walking etc.

BUT and this is something you have to do, always tell your Dr or nurse your plans, and any medication (natural) that you take needs to be known if you have other ailments etc.

Good luck!

Jump off suicide bridge in North London (Archway sort of area).

It's natural because everyone does it and it'll treat depression because you won't be alive and won't be able to feel depressed either.

OK seriously now.

I've over come depression in the past by listening to depressive music (like Seether ft. Amy Lee - Broken) that makes me even more depressed and then I feel better in the end.

It does seriously help to have a good talk to someone about it all, what's causing it, how you feel, etc, etc.

:-)

there are homoeopathic tablets i.e. calms and quiet life but if you are clinically depressed go see your doc as he will help you the key to depression is sorting out why so ask for counselling not just tablets if you don't get rid of the problem you will never be free from depression . also you have to help yourself to a degree don't sit there and shrivel up , kick your **** into gear , sounds harsh but you need to help your self to a degree , i have suffered my self in the past but I'm fine at the moment . life is such that we make our own choices and decisions so decide today to get help and start enjoying your life again . life's too short to feel like this for long . jump up be counted and the best of luck xx
