Orange peel works well. Just rub the peel against it. Wipe gently with a wet cloth once in a while as you do that.

A product called OOPS worked for me. Do not use fingernail polish remover. It will desolve the finish. I have removed latex paint from dining chairs with this produce, fingernail polish from a table and glue residue from fine china. Never a problem.
