Why does Mohammed brag in the Koran about killing people?

7:4 How many a township have We destroyed! As a raid by night, or while they slept at noon, Our terror came unto them.

Really? Cant say I have ever heard of Allah raiding towns at night...interesting!

Wow, they will change it to whatever sounds good. It says by a raid by night, not suddenly destroyed at night.

Why did he do half the stuff he did?

He raided villages.
He raided the village of Khaybar.
Him and his army surrounde the village at night and attacked while they were sleeping. He killed most of the young men and adults, and the women were taken as prisoners. One was named Safiya. Muhammad killed her father and husband. Then He married her. What is that all about? Sounds like a barbarian to me, not a prophet.

He taught to kill.
Kill the Mushrikun (pagans) wherever you find them, and capture them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush.
-Surah 9:5

There are more verse...... Surah 8:65, Surah 9:29....etc.....

Also what confuses me is the inconsistencies of the Hadith and and Muhammad's teachings in the Quran.
One defines the Jihad as a spiritual struggle, while the other defines it as war and the killing of nonbelievers.

Why did he brag?
I don't know, like I said , I can't understand why he did a lot of things he did. He was a lost soul posing as a prophet.

yeah, read up on your Quran. You can interpret it how you want, but it still presents the fact thet he thought he was a prophet.
Jesus never taught to kill. If you want to argue about killing in the Bible, argue about what Jesus taught and not just charachters in the Bible. After all, Christians follow the teachings of Jesus, not Solomon. Muslims follow the teachings of Muhammad. And he had like 13 wives not just 9. How many did Jesus have? Oh yea that's right, you think Christians follow Solomon. lol

By the way, why didn't you call out other people who answered this question? They criticised Muhammad more than me.

Actually - this is not bragging about killing people. Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not use his own words, these were the words of Allah.

At the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) the pagans again and again rejected the truth, and not only stayed strong in associating partners with God, they also used to torture the Muslims and the Prophet (peace be upon him.)

A few times, Allah warned them that if they remained ignorant and continued to attribute partners to Him, they would receive a great punishment. They would then taunt the Prophet (peace be upon him) about why that punishment did not come - yet Allah wished to forgive them and wait until they accepted the truth, for His Mercy overcomes His Anger.

Anyhoo, this was not a show of greatness, Allah hates to punish a nation - but they bring it upon themselves by continuous disobedience to their Creator. And, this was a warning, like many others, in hopes that the pagans would give up their evil practices, and follow the right way.

It also makes the point that Allah can bring a punishment upon people at any time, and this reminds us the same way - that He is always watching, so that we can increase in our good deeds and live a life of purity and kindness out of fear of angering Him. On the other hand, we can confidently expect His endless Mercy if we try to strive in what's good. :)

So to kill and infidel is to procure a favored possission in heaven.
Killing those who don't believe like them is not only a priviledge but a duty.

first : taken by night , means God distroy it suddenly , like the flood story and all stories of God's distruction to infidels , God doesn't need night to hide ( and that proves you don't even have mind to think that is the meaning)

second thing is for Neptune : the incident that phrophet Muhammad killed those jews was because of they betrayed him in the time of war ... and he didn't raid at night but by the day ( and if by night what's wrong? didn't you ever heared about military nessecity ?)

about killing them , after a long seige to their fort they asked for a judge , and they choosed one whom they know well , and said they will surrender and accept the judgment of him , Muhammad accepted ( and he wasn't in need to accept any conditions , they were about to get all muslims including him get killed, and now they are in his hand, but he accepted) tat judge could say set em free , or let em pay money , but he judged to get them killed , because they are traitors in a time of war , and they are too dangerous , even if they left , they will join the enemy , so Muhammad accepted what THEIR judge judged ....

you say he tought to kill , well and what God tought to jews ? wasn't their religious wars , werent there prophets who led their people to wars, isnt war means killing ? Muses , David , Soliman? others?

isn't palastine was givin to jews by God neglecting there are palstinians there ?

please if you wanna crticise , you can criticise God himself for that , but not only islam as if Muhammad was the first to invent holy wars ...

last thing , you say Muhammad had 9 wives , well what about Soliman ? 100 wives .... am i true?
