How much of a difference is too much? We are both teenagers; I'm 17, she's a little over 2 and a half years younger than me. But she's very mature, and we both love each other.

There's nothing wrong with a 17-year old guy dating a girl who's 14 or 15 (I assume in the 9th or 10th grade).....some parents might not feel too comfortable with their daughter in the 9th grade dating a guy in grade 12 (thinking that with an older guy there would be more pressure for sex and more possiblity of going to parties and drinking too much and making stupid mistakes)....I'm 26 and I remember it all from high school.....but it's really common for a guy who's 17 to date a 14-15 year old. Just remember not to put any pressure on her for things as she might not be as sure of what she really wants at that age and be more likely to be doing things just to impress you. If you truly care about her, stay with her and treat her with respect.

so she is 15 and a half and you are almost 18? if thats true.. man you have plenty of time have fun with your life. you are getting to the age where you want to go out and party and that stuff that your age of people do. she wont be able to. then when you get that out of your system it will become boring. then she is going to want to do all that stuff and a relationship during those times of your lives is going to be difficult. you are probably going to want to go off to college and she will still be in hs. if you love each other as much as you say you do than a serious relationship like you have can wait.

me and my husband are 11 years apart and my parents are 18 years apart and they have been together for over 35 years. So no I don't think that age makes much difference.

Then age do not matter then if you are both in love. Just like the singer Aaliyah said "age ain't nothing but a number".
Love will concern all. :-)

I see nothing wrong with that.So she is about 14. I think if you're both at the same level, mature wise, then there is nothing wrong with being together. That's my opinion.

that's not bad. if she's mature than it makes up for it. i am as mature as any 25 year old. so i guess it's okay.

Don't worry about it too much, unless you get caught having sex. That's jail time for you, there.
