guess what: the bible says if your not "in with the in-crowd" then you're most definitely going to hell, and it's going to be painfully gruesome, Furthermore, it's apparently every christian's "job" to tell every one else about it. research how a meme preserves itself.

Not all Christians do it... but, the one's who do are the one's who badger other people about it. And they do it to the point that people associate that with all of Christiandom. It's rather insulting when a loudmouth who thinks he knows everything about you, tries to tell you where you stand... as if you have no idea what person you are inside to begin with.
And, after looking around in here, Non's aren't the only one's doing the assuming about groups.

Did you just refer to everyone who does not believe what you believe as "anti Christ"? A person does not have to be against something to not be for it. Atheism is generally defined on the premise of not believing any god or God exist. How can one be against something imaginary to them?
BTW, I've never heard or read a Christian using the word "Hell" without the express purpose of standing on a pedestal looking down on someone else. Why else would one use that fear tactic? Its whole purpose is to instill fear and control.

There are nice Christians, such as your good self, and misguided meanies who happen to be Christians, who have told me I'm going to hell (and who told my friend he was the first sign of the Apocalyse) in the hope it will scare me into conversion. unfortunately if you are constantly in contact with a group of scary Christians, you end up thinking that's the only version of Christianity out there, and the whole message of peace, tolerance and love drops by the wayside. Its sad but true, unfortunately.

Its not only Christians who advise every1 to go to hell. Its bible .
If you managed some how to read the bible you would not ask that Question. Hell in the bible is much popularised than heaven. THere is no description of heaven ( practicly none) but there is all kinds of descriptions of hell.
Christians missionaries go around the world and tell ppl about Jesus and if ppl don't belive them they openly tell them they will die in hell.
Now. There are some modern Christians, There are ppl who belive in god but not in bible. THere are ppl who are peacefull and trying to help others. But its the fundamentalist who scream the most and most visible.
As Christian you should fight fundamentalist first than all non-belivers but you prefer ignore part of your group who is the loudest one and accuse others for rebelling.
Therefore GOD introduce fundamentalist to Christianity so they can earn bad name for it.

I respect your opinions, thoughts and ideas too even though I don't think it is right. I think you should have given your life over to the green frog in the sky.
Christians pick on people who don't believe in Christ and think that is the only way to everlasting peace. In short, we all pick on each other. Heck, once we are dead we become worm food.

because usually when you guys mention hell its usually when condeming someone to it.
can you honestly think of another reason why you would bring up hell? its either to warn people that theyll go there or to tell someone that theyre going there....other than that hell has no other purpose.
the threat of hell, regardless that its empty, is a tool you religious peopl use to get others to beleive in your god.
hell is your fist, and youre the bully telling others to give you their lunch money or theyll go to hell.

next time you talk about hell, and folks say you are telling them they are going there, tell them (in a joking way) i am not telling you to go to Phoenix AZ, it said that Phoenix is hot as hell (lol)
just tell them were to find the information in the bible and let them read it. that way they will find it themselves.
good luck
