I think it is comical but appropriate because Jesus does not believe in them either. Jesus said thoe who claim to be Jews are not. He also said that if you add to his words that the plagues described in the book of Revelation will be added upon you.

Jesus was a hebrew from the tribe of Judah. Which is why he is a Jew. Semites are Jewish because they follow the religion of Judaism. Semites were never hebrews.

A semite:
A member of a group of Semitic-speaking peoples of the Near East and northern Africa, including the Arabs, Arameans, Babylonians, Carthaginians, Ethiopians, Hebrews, and Phoenicians.
A Jew.
Bible. A descendant of Shem.
Jesus was a semite. Semetic people are people that speak semetic languages. He was from that part of the world, and spoke the language there.
The rest of your commentary has little to do with your question...
if you are questioning the hypocrisy of Jews who claim Jesus was a semite, yet not the messiah...you really should look up the definition of semite. There are plenty of people who were semites and are semites that don't believe in Jesus as the messiah, but generally accept he was a man that came from the semetic area of the world...thus he was a semite.
If you are just trying to be antagonistic...do your research first, then people might want to debate with you.

Um, Hebrews ARE Semites. They claim he isn't their messiah because, according to their writings (which aren't always the same as our English versions), he did not fulfill everything that the Messiah was supposed to do the First time around. I don't think there's any mention of a second coming like is displayed in the New Test.
And that threat of the plagues is about the Book of Revelation ONLY. So how did it get added to the rest of the Bible?

Your question makes no sense. The reason why it doesn't it because it assumes that there is a direct one to one correlation between someone being Jewish and someone being the Messiah. The truth of the matter is that Jesus is Jewish because his mother was. Jesus is not the Messiah because he does not meet the requirements for being the Messiah.
Thus, there is no contradiction and thus is not "comical" or ironic in any way.
You say your purpose is not to debate but to enlighten. Fine. But I think it may end up being a case of the "blind leading the blind".
And although I do not claim to be knowledgable on Christian theology I think I am safe when I say that no Christian scholar would agree with you on your claims over what Jesus said.

Can't he be both a Jew and not the Messiah? That seems like a silly question. Most other religions (Judaeism, Islam) believe that Jesus was only a prophet and not the Messiah mentioned in the old testament. Maybe yu should check your facts before spouting such uninformed hatred--is that what your religion is about? hatred. I thought it was about love and acceptance. What would Jesus say if he knew you were being such an idiot?

Jews claim Jesus was a semite and specifically of the tribe of Judah because the historical record demonstrates that.
He is not recognized as Messiah because He did not meet their their desire for a Messiah.

Your question makes no sense. Jesus was a Jew. So what if Jews didn't recognize him as the Messiah? That doesn't mean he wasn't a Jew. And just because he was a Jew was no reason to accept him as the Messiah.

Jesus was Jewish. A faithful Jew, too.
The jews however, did not recognize Him as their Messiah. If they HAD, they wouldn't have handed Him over to be Crucified. Since scriptures were specific that the Messiah must suffer, we would have been no better off.
It was a matter of fulfilling scripture.

first of all there is no need to claim who was Jesus. He was jew from your lovely bible. Period.
He was against many of old doctrines of that time and who would like it? If some1 400 hundreds years ago would say Jesus was bad you know what would happened? take a guess.
Same here. Jesus was Jew , He fulled all ppl that he died while god can't die. Nice show and cute b/s
Therefore GOD create stupidity for Christians.
