Frizz-ease cream. If you straighten your hair, use that to protect it. The heat from the straightener is probably frying your hair. If your hair is naturally curly, go to your local CVS and get L.A. Looks Curl Look gel, and that will keep your hair curly without frizzing. I think they also make it for naturally straight hair, but mine's curly so I don't really pay much attention.
Also, after styling your hair, don't touch it if you can help it, the oil from your hands can make it frizzier. And don't put water on it, that makes it frizzy as the water evaporates. Carry a small bottle of gel, lotion, even suntan lotion will work, for little touch ups whenever you need it.
Use deep conditioners once a week and moisturizing conditioners the rest of the week to keep your hair healthy, it gets frizzy when it dries out and starts to break. Avoid hair dryers if you can. On curly or wavy hair, it can make it really poofy and frizzy, or at least use some of the Frizz-ease first. You can get it at any supermarket, drugstore, or convenience store for a couple bucks.

Wash hair, concentrating on the scalp, using a low-detergent shampoo (the tip-off is that it doesn't lather very much, but when in doubt, buy formula for fine hair). Rinse and apply conditioner, leave it in for a few minutes, and rinse with cool water. Then press - don't rub - wet hair with a towel. Comb your hair gently with a wide-tooth comb.
While hair is still soaking wet, rub a blob of silicone gel, cream, or serum between your palms and run hands down the length of hair to seal the cuticles shut. The coarser the hair, the heavier and richer the product should be. To make sure every strand is coated from the roots to the ends, pin up the top layers of hair and smooth gel or serum on the bottom layers first.
If you have curly hair and want to wear it natural, let it air-dry, or blow-dry it using a diffuser. Hold the dryer so that the diffuser cradles hair from below. To wear hair straight, divide it into two-inch-wide sections. Blow-dry each one on high from roots to ends, using a metal barrel or boar-bristle brush and pointing the nozzle down. To reseal cuticles, use just serum or pomade on dry hair.
Hope this helps~

the reason it does not work is because it is just coating your hair and actually its damaging your hair, you need a salon product like REDKEN ALL SOFT. this help so much with frizz i had frizzy hair and the first time i used this product i didnt even hav eto put anything in my hair, i let it dry and it was not frizzy at all. you can buy this at any hair salon and it works great i bought my shampoo and conditioner for $20 thats not too bad each big bottle is about $10
