Or so I imagine. I suppose one could find out the real answer if one weren't so lazy that one didn't bother just looking at a washing machine and seeing the hose leading out the back.

The washing machine is connected to pipes behind it & the water goes into the sewers. If you have a septic tank, then it goes there.
