To the bottom of the washer, out the opening after the spin, into the rubber hose that is hooked into the drain or separate sink, and down the drain, then into a bigger drain, and bigger yet where all the wash water in the town ends up, the sewage tanks for treatment and disposal.

Or so I imagine. I suppose one could find out the real answer if one weren't so lazy that one didn't bother just looking at a washing machine and seeing the hose leading out the back.

The washing machine is connected to pipes behind it & the water goes into the sewers. If you have a septic tank, then it goes there.
