He would not have joy in such a thing. I believe that scripture is basically saying what goes around comes around. When children are little, the parents punish children because they want discipline stored into the younglings. Just because someone sinned doesn't mean He doesn't love them.

Would God (if there is one) take pleasure in burining people in hell (if there is one)? We all believe in the same God regardless of name...it's this type of question on how we believe that leads into misunderstanding and than ultimately war.
