You are correct. And your opinion has been corroborated by the first response to your question.
Christians are arrogant, self righteous, intollerant, and in essence, evil. And because they have deluded themselves into thinking that is what god wants of them, they also believe that they are good people.

We are not all hateful. It's just in our beliefs, people who do not believe that Jesus Christ is our savior and died on a cross to save us from our sins is going to Hell. Now, you say that you don't steal, kill, or anything like that. That you help people when they need it, and you say that you believe there's a God; these are really good start and in the Christian faith we are called to do such things. I must apologize for that person who told you "you are going to Hell." he obviously was being to strong in his words.
Have you ever considered trying the Christian religion and actually seeing what we're all about before making these comments? Maybe you should try different religions before making such comments. Just try reading the Bible or some other Christian books to try to get a mental picture of what we are about. Maybe try out some churches or go to a building of another religion. Who knows, you may actually become a Christian, or Muslim.

At least we aren't gonna be lonely down there! Most Christians are decent and tolerant people who try to do the right thing. Unfortunately there are extremists out there who love to cast judgement on others, and generally give Christianity a bad name. My question to you is why does it bother you so much? If you feel you are living a decent and productive, happy life, then it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I think your friend is being a little judgemental and harsh. But, to ge honest, I try to accept ALL religious beliefs; I am a (relaxed) Roman Catholic. The things that I've been through in life, (not to say that others don't have their crosses to bear;we each have our own)I KNOW there is God, Jesus, and HEAVEN. All the beliefs are basically the same; some go to the extreme, like what you are talking about. No need to be that way. Just know that God loves you; you're fine.:)

I know this is not really an answer to your question, but, as a Christian, I had to comment.
While it IS true there are intolerant and narrow-minded Christians in the world...this does NOT mean that all Christians hold those beliefs. Christianity as I know it is not a religion of exclusion, or intolerance.
In the same way some people who call themselves Christians are intolerant, hateful and rude....those of us who are not that way have to put up with the examples that they set. Don't let the skewed views of one Christians you have come in contact with allow you to view us all as hateful people.
I do my best to follow the Bible and what it teaches me. Not all Christians do that. It's all opinion and belief anyway, since no one truly can say they absolutely know what will happen after we're all dust.
I'm not about to change my mind about what the Bible teaches, but I'm not going to hate people because they don't believe what I do. It isn't fair.

Christianity is like infinity of stupidity.
For any religion out there.... GOD does not need religion. Religion needs GOD.
Simple is that. Your Christain coworker is kinda an idiot. I got plenty of work and every time they say something smart i ask them for 10 commandments or who discover Jesus empty tomb. And for not knowing the must knowing those things they will go to hell. So refer them back to hell since they know about jesus but never even bother to read who he was or what he was teaching.
Therefore Infinity of stupidity was created by GOD specificly for Christians.

Well Thank GOD they know the truth.
GOD knows that if you say it loud enough then you must be right.
Find your own path to GOD, and let the rest go to hell in their own way.
If someones method of getting you to go to church is to yell and put you down, how are they proving to be a good GOD fearing person.
Tell your friend to have GOD give you a call, obviously he has an inside track to the big woman.
If they cannot respect your beliefs, they probably don't understand their own.

By believing in God you know that He exists.. Good, the Devils do too and they tremble. Are you ready to agree with God and admit that you are a sinner in God's view? And understand that makes you unclean in his sight? And no unclean thing can enter the Presences of God? God gave us Jesus to handle this problem. All God asks is that you trust Jesus. Sounds like you don't

The meaning of Christianity - is one who is a follower of Jesus. Even satan believes in God and the Bible. Satan actually quoted the Bible to Jesus, so believing that God exists, don't make a person a Christian. A Christian is a person who has put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. Let me explain:
Jesus sacrificed His righteous life in our place on the cross. He died, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God.
I am guilty of offending God and flouting His law. Although I deserve His eternal judgment, it was concentrated on Jesus when He died on the cross for me. Because He loved me, He carried my sins there, in my place.
But Jesus rose again in triumph on the third day. By raising His Son from the dead, God the Father showed He accepted the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for sinners.
His death for our sins and His resurrection means that Jesus can now enter and change the lives of all who turn from their sins to Him for forgiveness. Through the Holy Spirit, He takes up residence in the hearts of those who trust Him.
He alone guarantees a home in Heaven after death, to all who will repent and come to Him in prayer.
