I'm 17yrs old, and a US resident but not citizen, in december I'm leaving the country on vacation without my parents and I would like to know if there are any requirements that I will need in able to leave knowing I'm not an US citizen?

No I am not sneaking off with someone, I am just leaving the country to visit my mother in Switzerland and my dad will already be on vacation by that time so I would like to know what type of documentation I need to leave since I'm underage.

~Whatever you do, don't talk to anyone in the Federal Building nearest you. Stay away from the State Department and INS, or anybody else who might be knowledgable in the area. Stick to the info you get from Yahoo Answers. It will might life a whole lot easier for you. You might get turned back at the border when you land and you might not get back to the States. Obviously, neither prospect gives you pause because you are trying to get your information here, from people who know even less about it than I do. Have a nice trip, wherever it may take you and for however long.

The simple answer to your simple question is that you will only need a passport (and of course a ticket).
The answers the other people have been giving you are cautionary or unnecessary. You asked what you need to leave. All you need is a passport. The money the other people talk about is after you arrive in another country. This country doesn't care if you leave with only a single penny in your pocket. But yes, the other countries you arrive into will certainly care if that is all you have.
I wonder, though, at such a young age, why you are asking an anonymous forum for advice on this matter? Are you going to abandon your family? Are you running off to some unknown person you maybe met on MySpace? Please be cautious. Please don't allow your youthful understanding of the world to interfere with your better judgement and your obligations to family. Be careful, young one. Be very careful.

Well, the US authorities and the airport will let you go, provided you have a valid ticket and a valid passport.
Perhaps one of your parents has to organise the ticket and pay for it by credit card - probably this is a condition.
To get back into the US it's very important to have the necessary papers with you allowing your re-entry. I don't know if a certain stamp in your pass would be sufficient, ask the US immigration office.
Switzerland perhaps wants a Visa to let you enter, depending on your country of origin and your official status in the US. Otherwise Switzerland will easily let you in - the age is no problem.

If you are a Permanent Resident of the US, then you will not need to apply for any extra Visas to return to the US. Leaving is not a problem. If you are not a Permanent Resident, you will need to make certain you have all of the paperwork necessary to re-enter before you leave.
Contact the Embassy of your citizenship country, and contact the government about the requirements if your parents do not know.

For adults: don´t leave for more than 6 months or you will have problems coming back after that with your permanent resident card. Since you are a minor, I cant tell what is best to do, get the right info or just wait till you are 18.

You will need to carry your passport, which allows you to travel internationally, and your green card (I-551), which will allow you to return to the US. If the country you are visiting requires that people of your nationality have visas in order to enter, you will also have to have a visa.
You do NOT need a permission slip, unless your airline requires one to protect them from liability.

Well you will for sure need a passport and something from you parents releasing you to travel unaccompanied. I've even heard they need to take you to the ticket counter they check their id's, your birth certificate to make sure their name is on it. But it may be different if your a non-citizen...i'd call the airline and ask them

You need to talk to the airline -- the US does not interact with anyone, citizen or no, who is LEAVING the US. Immigration only deals with those who are coming back, and if you have your green card, your return should be fine.

Your not sneaking off to marry some guy you met on "MY Space"are you ? Talk to your parents and they will help you out. When your 18 you do it without their permission.
