not every guy expects a kiss on the first date. As a matter of my own personal rule I do not expect or give a kiss on a first date regardless of how much I might like a woman.

The first kiss can always tell whether or not the relationship will work out. I myself would not expect a first kiss because it would be like pressuring the other person into something that they may not want to do.

Many reasons.
1) Because they want to.
2) Because they want to see how far they can get.
3) Because society has branded in their brains that if they do not at least try to they are going to hurt the girl's feelings.
This last one is the dumbest excuse I have heard, but it seems to be true. Frankly, I do not really feel like kissing someone I had just gone out with & may not have known well prior to going out with them. Especially since most men just want to go to the movies on a first date. If you go to the movies, it is not like you are even going to have a chance to talk much to get to know him.

No, chicky-babe, not all guys expect a kiss (or more!) on the first date.
Maybe it's just the kind of guys YOU'VE been dating...and now it's time to raise the bar, go for a higher standard, get a more respectable guy.

Well maybe they really like you and they think you like then back so their going to want a kiss. You would be very lucky if he never kissed a girl before you so just don't go with the flow or their going to want to want more then kiss if you let them. Just kiss him on your second date and that shows that he really likes you.

Real men do not expect anything, they hope for a great date and that you will say yes to a second one. Then when it is over, walk you to your door for safety and leave with a simple goodnight.

hahahah, some do and I think that that's just being too pushy. But for a guy a kiss reassures them that the date went well and that she is interested, for others well.... they are just looking for a Return on their Investment

guys dont always expect it...only guys that really want something out of it do. if you don't like guys like that then don't go out with them in the first place and you won't have the problem.
