Before you care accepted to dental hygiene school there are certain pre-requisites that you must fulfill. These courses can be taken at a community college or a 4 year university, it usually takes two years to complete these courses, they include but are not limited to Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Biology I, Microbiology, Chemistry I, English I, History I, Algebra I, Speech Communications, Psychology, Sociology, and two electives. This varies on the state you live in. You will need to get online and go to the website of the school you wish to attend and they will have a list of the classes needed prior to being considered for the program.

Yes if it is a technical school or community college. There shouldn't be a problem because the GED is the "equivalent" to a high school diploma.

now a days you can get into a lot of different schools with just a ged

You will need to consult the requirements of the school you wish to attend. I suspect so, however each school sets it's own admission requirements.
