Hi!
I have a schnoodle (half poodle, half schnauzer) with apricot poodle curly hair. Wilbur sleeps in MY bed, so he gets a bath alot. I've found that dog shampoos are way too harsh for him. He doesn't have fleas, so I don't buy flea soaps because pesticides can be way toxic. And he gets knotted and matted easily. Believe it or not, I use my shampoo on him, (I like Finesse for dry, coarse hair the best) and yes, he has gotten in the shower with me... :-) and if he gets dirty in between weekly bath day, I just hose him off with warm water. Yorkies pose a grooming problem too, so try a spray conditioner/detangler that you can buy at Pet Smart, and keep him brushed. Rinsing thoroughly is important, and I taught Wilbur to sit on the "grooming stool" while I use the blow dryer and dry him off. If a dog's skin got irritated from too frequent shampooing, I think increased chewing and scratching would be a clue. sue.

Ah..the smelly scent quandary. I actually have a Yorkie-Poo. We wash him another week. If he is going to the dogs park we provide him an more beneficial wash. a variety of of folk say once a month...others wash a week. I choose once each and every 2 weeks. that is so his organic oils stay with him and his epidermis does not flake. in case you word white flakes you're over washing. believe it or not yet acutally washing your dogs fewer circumstances ought to strengthen the scent because the oils will stay along with your dogs. also, use a conditioner it quite is oatmeal once you're petrified of over washing your dogs because this can help safeguard it really is epidermis. although, understand the dogs scent will not in any respect one hundred% go away... Tip: you'll come across a puppy shops like puppy smart and puppy Co. particular puppy body sprays. that is variety of a conditioning puppy spray. It does not damage the floor and use as directed. Tip: you may attempt the hot satisfied plug ins which have 3 sents so that you're continually smelling some thing new on your rooms like vanalli, strawberry, ocean breeze ect... possibly this can help. reliable success!!!

No more than twice a month, doing so will dry out the skin and cause irritation. Also use very high quality shampoo. I suggest Equess( wrong spelling) it is the best!
