No, you do not know the person from a personal level. I think your relationship is okay for a friendly level but a serious attempt at dating is below human needs. I am biased because I dont believe internet dating is a healthy social behavior.

Just because you have not met in person or seen a picture of doesn't necessarily mean the relationship is wrong. It might be a good idea to share pictures of each other, however, there is more to love than what the person looks like.
