Sometimes people sell used ones in the newspaper or on a bulletin board at the pet store. Places like home Depot sell cheap ones, but they're very light weight and will only hold a very small or gentle dog.

You obviously have access to the computer so depending on the type of "cheaper" your talking about (used or new) there are a couple things you can do.
1.) Use 'Kennel' in your search blank in browser.
-the norm is several links will appear on the screen in a list/ always beware of scams but a rule of thumb is that if they're an answer to a keyword search, they're better known. You're risk is much less.
2.) Use the store suggestions given/ there are some good ones in the other answers for your question. Use them also as keywords, and the page on your screen with links will, most likely, offer the websites for these stores within the top couple of links available.

Hi!
Do you have simple hammer and nail skill? Or someone to help? We bought 8x4 foot sections of decorative plastic trellising from the garden store and built our own. We put in 4 4' posts, digging the holes by hand, connected them with two by four frames, made a simple swing gate and voila! Less than a hundred bucks and it is nice and sturdy. Our schnoodle Wilbur goes in and out via catdoor and potties himself. We made sure he didn't learn to nuisance bark and I don't have to worry when we are late from work. (Aside from the occasional mouse "donation" from the cat, that is ...... :-)

Good luck with that...you may be able to go to a hardware store or animal supply (whoever sells them local to you) and see if they have any slightly damaged ones they are willing to sell at a discount. All things metal are high right now.

Try a vet clinic, for used ones, or a kennel -they also may have one they want to get rid of.
