I have done a lot of faux painting.

You can get some excellent free info at homecrafter places that sell the glazes and supplies, but the ultimate book, in my opinion, is one a friend gave me for my birthday. It is the grandaddy of faux books. It describes all the materials, paints, finishes, techniques, tools, etc. in easy-to-use format. You can order it from your bookseller (like B. Dalton or Books-a-Million) if they don't have it in stock:

"Paint Recipes-
A Step-By-Step Guide to Colors and Finishes For the Home"

Good luck with your projects!

Home depot has a CD-Rom that is really good. It shows you all the techniques and what you need to do them. Most of the rooms in my house are custom painted using the techniques from that CD. Well worth the money!

You can find one online. Just google or yahoo it. I believe Sherwin Williams has one on their site. Look up Osh, Home Depot, etc. I remember using it from one of the big stores.
