I am unsure how to let a coworker know I would be interested in seeing him outside of work. I do not want to cause either one of us problems with other coworkers. I have not worked here very long and to complicate matters more, he is still technically married but has made it very clear(to others)that they no longer live together and are in the process of divorcing. Also, if it makes a difference, we are of different races and are in different positions within the company. Suggestions??

I guess I am also asking WHAT I could say or HOW I could test the water to see if he would be interested.

Just be cool about it. Don't let the whole office know and make sure he's on the same page. It can be a lot of fun, seeing each other and hearing the guys talk about what they'd like to do to you, all the while your shagging her brains out without anyone's knowlege.

If he's the type that can keep things quiet, go for it. If not, forget it. It can lead to more trouble than it's worth.

And seriously, does anyone really care about race anymore? I thought we where past that...

You can leave him a note on his desk, just to check the waters and see if he's interested in dating you.
