(Classic puzzle) A farmer returning home from the market must get across the river and return home with his three purchases, a dog, a chicken and a bag of rice. However, He must take them in his boat. He can't have more than one item with him on his boat at all times. He cannot leave the dog alone with the chicken because the dog will eat the chicken, and he cannot leave the chicken alone with the bag of grain because the chicken will eat the bag of grain. How does he get all three of his purchases back home safely?

Cross with the chicken and put the chicken down.
Cross back
Cross with the dog, cross back with the chicken
Put chicken down cross with grain
return for chicken

he takes the chicken first to the other side (dog wont eat the rice)
then he goes back for the dog
when going back he takes back the chicken with him (the dog will eat the chicken on the other end)
he leaves the chicken and takes the rice
then he goes back again for the chicken,
boom all three are safely no eaten on the other side!

take the chicken over and go back for the rice. when you get the rice over you go back to the other side with the chicken and bring the dog back to the other side. you go back and get teh chicken.

Destroy the boat. Use it to make fire wood. Us the fire wood to cook the cjicken and the rice. Send the dog for help. Have chicken and rice for dinner.

he takes the chicken then puts it on the other side then he takes the dog to the other side where the chicken is. takes the chicken back then drops him off on the side w/ the rice. takes the rice back to the other side w/ the dog and then goes back and gets the chicken!!

bring the chicken over .Then you take the dog over. Take the chicken back.bring the feed over to the dog. bring the chicken back over.

he takes the chicken, because dogs dont really like rice, so he'd be fine.

find someone else to hold the chicken while you bring the bag of grain over, then the dog, then the chicken. Sorry i can't answer it your way!!
