Death is likened to sleeping in the Bible. Jesus's friend Lazarus had died and this is the account at Luke 11:11-14: "These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. The Bible tells us that the dead do not feel anything
Eccl.9:10: " For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing--"
So the dead are not suffering--only in a deep sleep until God through his Son resurrects them back to life and there will be a resurrection of both good & bad people. Acts 24:15: "And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Hell is the common grave of mankind--Jesus has the keys of death and hell. He will resurrect all who are in hell and then they will be judged--some to everlasting life and the rest will be put out of existance. God is love and would never torture imperfect humans-
Satan tries to paint God as sadistic and cruel. This he has accomplished through the false teachings of Christendom.

because you are given a choice, to admit to your sins and bleieve that God sent his son to die for our sins, and confess, your sins, and turn form them, or think that there is know God and live life the way you want to. God is forgiving, but you must except his gift of salvation for forgiveness to come into play. The Bible is our instructional book and we must follow it. THe ten commandments are there as well, which are in the Bible. There has to be a Hell, or people would go out and do stupid stuff, but some people do it any ways, even tho ther IS A HELL.

God can forgive everyone as long as people want to be forgiven. Hell was "created" because even with so many chances to ask for forgiveness there are still so many people stubborn enough that will not regret from their bad actions and you can say that it's actually they're choice to "go to hell"

Again, God is LOVE. He is always forgiving our sins if any of us pray and confess our sins and then He will forgive us. About hell, some people got the wrong idea of what is hell is like or look like. Hell is not in the underground with fire and stuff.
Word "hell" have many meanings. Hell could means the grave, or dark abyss, and or place of burning. Here is the Bible verse: Matt. 13:40-42 explain about when will sinners be put in hell? and
"So shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of ma. . . .shall cast them into a furnace of fire." Which mean burn them to the dust. Look back to Adam and Eve, when they died and what did God did with their bodies. He put them back to the dust. When we die, we will go back to dust.
Some people prefer to be cremated or be buried, it doesnt make any difference, because will are dust. Dust is dust.

I agree with your question.
When my friends talk to be about going to hell, I tell them that hell does not exists. Why? Because God is all forgiving.
How can He be ALL FORGIVING and at the same time have a place for punishment?
Somehow they agree with me when I tell them that God is all forgiving, but they are adamant about hell's existence. There is a definite contradiction here, but they refuse to see it.
Here's another good one: In the old testament, the phase "An eye for eye" is proclaimed, but in the new testament Jesus says "to turn the other cheek" (Yet another contradiction).

I don't mean to sound technical but the topic is. Hell was a covenantal judgment which occured during Jesus' generation (70AD) like He said it would. It's purpose was to destroy the old economy/covenant and the identity of those who remained in that covenant until it's destruction. Their are no people burning in hell and it will not apply to anyone living now or in the future. The problem comes from reading the Bible with extreme literalism rather then seeing how the language is used elsewhere (especially in the OT). God has reconciled all things to Himself (Acts 3:21).

Hell was not created for man, it was created for the devil and his angels. If man goes to Hell it is by choice not because God wants to send him there. Read your bible. God is very forgiving and all he asks mankind to do is love one another. Its not so hard if you give it a chance. For instance, I love you even though I have never met you, when I answer a question I ask God to bless the person asking the question. God loves you too. You should read Mathew Chapter 25. It is very enlightening.
Mathew 25:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Because God is not a God who forces you to do stuff... he made a hell because he gives you a choice... if you wanna be bad all your life then go ahead... but you go to hell. God is a forgiving God so if you ask him to forgive you then he will

Hell was created for the devil people go there because they choose to live without God in their lives and accept him as their Savior. God only forgives you if you ask for forgiveness.
