For me, it's kind of tough to describe.
I dont look for simple 'traits'- because anybody can possess these (nearly everyone is 'funny' at some point or 'family oriented').
I look more for a certain level of development- emotional maturity, social awareness, cultural influences, and self-awarenss. These are all 'states' that one can reach through deliberate effort or through fortunate experiences or good mentors/parents/friends etc. I like it when a man's eyes are open to those people around him, and who never thinks that he is 'complete' and certainly not 'superior' just as he is.
It's more of a developmental aspect than a trait, though it could be described by moral aspiration?
hes the kind of guy that makes me look at myself and wonder how I too can improve, and when he talks, his way of thinking gives me something to think about.... *swoon!!*
:)

I'm a big woman, and what i love in a man is his ability to make me feel like i wear a size 2! A man who treats me like i don't have to worry about what the world thinks about my weight! Now by all means i'm not ugly, but i everyday i step outside my door i have to compete with girls that are half my size. It's rough, But when i have a man that takes my mind off of things like that and love me for me and appreciates me and I him it's a beautiful thing! I Love A Man Who Makes Me Feel Like A Woman!

When I fell in love with my husband I did so because he's good looking, made me laugh, and made me feel safe with him. I knew that I could trust him and have a good time. I also admire him for the traits that he posesses that I am lacking in. We are good for each other. He truly is my better half. I knew I was in love when I could no longer imagine what my life would be like without him.

It depends on the woman. I like a guy who wont ever hit me, and who I can have a good time with and not be jelous about. Some girls appriciate a good sense of humor. And some girls will stay with a man who has no job and cheats on them. It's all in the girl.

He's got to be able to make me laugh, some who really knows what love and companionship are and is not afraid to show it. The big plus would be if he could pick up his dirty clothes and do the dishes once in a while without being asked.

As a woman, I like a man who is self -sufficient, has a sense of humor and has pride in himself without being conceited.

Everyone has her own definition on what is attractive. But, usually women like a man who is sensitive, caring, willing to compromise but not sell his soul. He also must be motivated, interesting, worldly and have a decent job.

Honesty, loyatly, doesn't act macho, isn't fake, (Doesn't go around saying "I'm the man") isn't bossy, isn't jealous, doesn't abuse, humble. Just being himself is good. Hard worker, doesn't make excuses. Isn't demanding, and loves and takes good care of his children ! (and of course his wife, or girl friend, what ever the case may be)

This is an old question. Well first is looks, but it's not the most important thing. Personality matters more. At least to me, now to shallow and/or stuck-up girls no.
