Weight Watchers is great. I'm down 46.2 lbs on it. It's a healthy approach that teaches you sensible, sustainable eating habits and puts emphasis on exercise and healthy eating. I generally lose 1-2 lbs a week, and keeping it off has not been a problem because of what I learned during my time on the program.

an aerobic exercise and light weight training program, mostly grain, vegetables and fruit with only a little meat; cut back on all fats, butters, mayonaise, oils, sugars. Start out walking 30 minutes a day (3 days a week) and then work towards jogging and finally running for 30 minutes. Once your able to jog for 30 minutes; include one or two days of speed training where you begin by jogging 3 minutes, then spint for 30 seconds, continue with alternate jogging 3 minutes, sprinting 30 seconds until you reach 30 minutes. Your metabolism will get a jolt from the speed training and if your lifting light weights with many repetitions (20 a set, do 3 sets); your body will begin to burn calories at a faster rate. More than anything, throw the TV out the window.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

I don't know about you, but I HATE having to pay to get on a good diet program! It sucks, and it's hard enough work as it is without having to fork out 30 bucks a month. I really like sparkpeople.com because it's free and you get a personalized diet plan. Also, my #1 tip is to chew sugarfree gum all the time, it helps minimize snacking. Good luck!

Diet AND exercise (sorry to throw the "exercise " part in there, but you can always "starve" the weight off...now, the trick is keeping it off...you can only do that for so long, then, as you go back to "normal" eating, or anything that resembles it, the weight will slowly creep back on. You must modify/change your behavior. Exercise will be the answer).
