Be loving to her , every one needs love especially grandmothers (I am one) .
Maybe she has problems understanding young children, try not to argue with her on that. Just pay special attention to her, before you know it she will warm up. Love is a 2 way street .

i got the same feeling also from my grandfather a little while ago. Is there anything that you're doing that she doesn't approve of? Grandmothers or fathers are usually more fickle as they grow older. Whatever she wants do it with a smile. And if you haven't up until now try including her in your life a bit more. call her occasionaly, tell her how things are going, etc, etc. if nothing works then i have some friends with your same issue. sometimes for some strange reason one grandchild gets left in the dusr. but those are rare occasions. Good luck!!!

When I was younger, my relationship with my grandmother wasn't as good as it is now.
I knew she loved me and I loved her, it's just we had no common ground on which to share anything.
My parents were actually the age my grandparents should be (mom had me when she was 37). So, my grandmother is the age a great grandparent should be "chronologically" to *most* grandkids.
I really think it's just because of the age difference. Just keep showing her you love her, and try to find something you can do and share together.

i know one of mine doesn't, but i don't think that much of her either. i mean i love her but i don't like her. there is a difference. she is extremely racist, and I'm not like that at all. i have a few friends who are black, and they came to my wedding because my husband and i invited them. she went to my mom and told her that there were black men in the back of the church. how stupid! she downs every race and then claims that she had a great grandfather who was a Jewish leader. then the next week she will be at a mall and walk by a jewelry store and make a comment on how Jews are only good at managing gold and money. she is retarded. just don't pay attention to how your g'ma treats you, she is just another person, quit trying to put her on pedestal if she has no respect for you and what you value.

See just ignore her. Consider the fact that she don't have much life left (AGE FACTOR). And you are educated, probably ur grandmother is old fashioned and have lack of education. And EDUCATION makes a lot of difference.

my grandmother disliked me my whole life (after my mom left my dad, her son). She died about 5 years ago. While she was alive, I gave my time and attention to the people who liked me and tried not to think about it; after she died, I had to make peace with her grave.
