Not weird at all; because he's a boy, your brother has a different perspective on your life, and as a result, isn't hidebound by any preconceptions that women have about each other -- so if you're complaining to him about boy troubles or certain personal issues, he won't tell you that he's been through all that and you should just grow up, because it's not important. He may not understand the issues you're dealing with, but he's going to assume that it's at least important to YOU, and listen. You're lucky you have a brother who's willing to listen.

not at all. I know completely how you feel. I have an older brother and sister and a younger brother and sister and i talk to my older sister about everything. we're realllly close and the rest of the family just bites the dust compared to the relationship that i have with her. We just feel that we have the most in common with each other. not a big deal

It's not weird at all sweetheart. I think it's wonderful that you can be so close to your brother. Cherish that....it's very special. Just because you're a girl doesn't mean that all your best friends have to be girls. Boys are pretty cool friends too and you get a double good thing when it's your brother.

I don't think that's weird at all. I've always like talking to guys way more than girls (as a friend) just because I feel like guys actually care about girls feelings. A lot of girls have their own problems but a really good guy will always drop his problems for yours, even as a brother. They're supposed to be your guardian right?

It could be that you just need someone to listen; and your brother may be better at that...I know my sister and mom are more interested in their input than what I am saying sometimes--it's part of the nurturing instinct I think.

No, totally normal.
Sometimes it's easier to tell someone of the oppostie sex stuff...especially if you are competitive with your sister or if your mom is judgemental.
People of the opposite sex general just accept what you tell them and listen with interest. People of the same same sometimes try to make what you are saying about them or give you the 'I know exactly how you feel' or 'the exact thing happens to me'.
