King C. Gillette did not invent the razor. Razors have been around thousands of years--way before Jesus, and they were used by men to shave their faces. Before that they used fragments of stones to shave and I have heard of glass being used as well but I can't say if that was before or after the invention of the razor blade. It is unlikely that a woman would be doing metal work back in 2000 B.C., so I would say it is a good assumption that it was a man who invented the blade.

A man of course! Up until just recently there were NO inventions by any women because they were in their place raising the kids and doing the household chores while we were out inventing gadgets and devices to make life easier until finally we made it to easy on everybody! So much so that women got too much time on their hands. Somehow, (probably through targeted sexual favor) they got the right to vote and this country has been spiraling downward ever since! At first the changes were subtle and hardly noticed for the first several years. It was not until the 1980s that things had balloned to where the country's wound had festered to a point of no return! It has since got steadily worse and will continue to be so until we adapt an attitude similar to the one we had during the westward expansion of the 1800s and the taming through anihilation of the Plains and Southwest Indians! April fools!

im guessing men, because back in egypt didnt the men shave their heads, and beards? i guess you would have to go back to when people actually wanted to shave...... way back then, didnt they used to shave with their own kinves/swords/blades? lol
