i have CS2 and in Bridge the option to open the raw files is not highlighted so i cannot open them. the same happen in photoshop.
i don't know what is going on. any help? where to go from here?

The photoshop CS2 can only read RAW files from selected digital camera or digital SLRs. RAW format from each camera is completely different format. You need to use the software that came with your camera.

If you didn't get any software, contact the manufacturer or the retailer you bought the camera from.

If you are using CS2 to convert RAW files you may need the latest plug-in for RAW (3.4) Go to the Adobe web site and you can download the plug-in for free.
Another option is to use Raw Shooter Essentials, this is free software and should be able to download it from the web site.

Yes... The answer from Manish is correct. The manufacturer of your specific camera should have supplied you with a RAW converter which you can install on your computer. Once installed, you can then use it to open your images and save them in a format understood by Photoshop.
