The gold is like $500 per ounce. A large men's ring is like $80 for the gold. A women's ring maybe $30. The diamond could be any price really, tiny ones like $50 or large 1 carat ones maybe $600.

It would depend on how thick of band it has and the size of the diamond along with color, clarity, etc. If it's just a chip ...not very, but if it's a 1/4 or 1/2 or bigger it could get quite valuable.
Be careful someone doesn't rip you off. Take it to a well known jeweler....they'll give you an idea.

It's going to depend on the amount of gold in the ring, and the cut, clarity, color, and carat weight of the diamond.

Make sure you don't just go to the mall jewelry store, make sure you go to someone who knows the ins and outs of diamond grading. The slightest differences in stones can mean $1000s of dollars in value. The cut, color and size are all factors. Round is the most valuable cut.
