White meat is generally lower in fat so it's better for you. However, red meat is higher in iron. So eating in moderation wouldn't be a bad idea.

Actually, red meat is not that bad, it's just a common misconception that they are. Veal (lamb) is "white meat" but contains high levels of saturated fat however, chicken legs are "red meat" but does not contain as much saturated fat.
People just think Red meat=saturated fat=Heart disease but that may not always be the case.
