Search and destroy! That whole wait and it will come lie is BS! I suggest go out and find someone. Wish you luck, it's frustrating either way.

Kelly, consider yourself lucky!!! I know that is hard for you to believe right now, but I didn't find the love of my life until I was 24, but by then I had already been married once and had 2 other serious relationships that left me pretty scarred and resentful. The only thing I do not regret about my first marriage is my daughter.
I wish I would have been selective and patient regarding dating and men. I really picked some losers before I met my husband. After my 1st marriage ended I neve thought I would find a nice guy. I did the club thing and all the men I met there made me literally sick to my stomach. The bars and clubs were like meat markets. It was a sickening scene. I tried being set up on dates and that also did not work for me. Just when I had given up all hope of finding a nice man I was introduced to my now husband by our babysitter. He had custody of his 2 small children and they went to the same babysitter that I sent my daughter to. The babysitter did not think he was my type but wanted me to make friends because I had just moved to that town and really didn't know anyone. I just fell head over heals for him almost instantly. You will find someone when you least expect it. Really. I did. I had stopped looking all of a sudden there he was. We lived one street over from each other also. You will find someone. Trust me. I could bore you with all the cliches, but I am not gonna do that. Be patient and it will happen. Good luck.

okay maybe it is time to start taking matters into your own hands. If you see a guy that you're interested in don't wait for him to come around. I know that girls don't like to initiate things but if you're really frustrated you would try it. Not saying that you're desperate or anything but you should go after what you want. Some guys actually like for women to take initiative, like me. Sorry I just had to throw that in, I know I'm such a guy. Good luck!
