This always works for me, and I have it on hand. So, no need to go and buy anything else at the drug store.
Pour about half a cup of alcohol (rubbing) into a bowl. Next, dillute with about 1/4 cup of water. Soak a cotton ball in the solution. Apply to the bite. Use liberally.
If you keep doing this it will slowly shrink the bite. By tonight you should be feeling much better!!

Go to the drugstore and get this stuff called "Afta-Bite" It's clear and colorless. Just daub it on each bite - itch stops right away. If they don't have that brand, ask the pharmacist for something like it - it'll be over-the-counter, and about 3 or 4 bucks.

I always put clear fingernail polish on any bug bite that I get, it protects it from you scratching it and from other things rubbing it to make it itch. Just make sure that it is not open or it will sting.
By the time that the fingernail polish wears off, the bite should be gone.

Really simple remedy; take a regular bar of soap, ivory or so, wet it just a bit, and put some on the bite. Don't rub it in, just put it on. Something in the soap gets rid of the itch. Worked for me.

I know this sounds weird but, cover them with an antiperspirant. Make sure it is an antiperspirant not a deodorant. The antiperspirant will draw moisture out of the bite. By tomorrow, they won't be swollen and they won't itch.

Try Benedryl (spelling) gel topical anelgesic. It works well for not only mosquito bites but poison ivy and such as well. It is available wherever there is a pharmacy. Wal-mart, CVS ect. Hope this helps you.

AftaBite is my go-to solution for bug bites. Kills the itch in a couple of minutes. I like the fact that it is easy to pack and ready to use with no fuss. It is a godsend when we go on our summer vacations.
