It sounds like there is a little bit of politics going on here, especially because Animal Control says they like her and use her. HOWEVER, she can be as helpful and wonderful as she wants to, but she has to be responsible also. I would first call the Health Department. Tell them about the odor, tell them you are scared of getting disease (worms come to mind), tell them you're afraid your pets will get disease, tell them anything. Then I would call the Village or State Police. Or call the State Dept. of Environmental Conservation. They have police that enforce laws. I am sure that, with a little research, you can find some law or ordinance that will make her clean up the place. Good luck!

Your neighbor can get a coated and good bin which could be coated and he can scoop the backyard each and each day, putting the crap interior the coated bin and putting some lye over that and canopy securely. The lye will deter bugs and cut back down on the smell. If the neighbor can no longer safeguard those canines (and that could incorporate no longer being a nuisance to pals with barking or odors) then call Animal administration or the city wellbeing branch and make a criticism. i would not go with to stay around the corner to that.

Call the Health Department. I admire what she's doing, but it's not healthy to leave all of that waste in her yard. It actually should be a violation of some kind of health code in your area. That poo can cause all sorts of health problems for the dogs, her, and you!

Also, tell her about the "Doggie Dooley". It's a product available at PetSmart that acts as a septic tank for dog poo. You just dig a hole in the yard, install the "dooley" and use the enzyme ingredient...all she has to do is scoop the poop and put it in there. Offer to install it for her if she pays for it.

If she still won't do anything...tell her you'll call the health department.

You could buy her a big bag of lime to sprinkle on the yard. It will eliminate the smell and feed the lawn (if there is any.) Baking soda will also neutralize the odor, but I don't know what would happen to the grass.

You could use a bandana and Vicks Vaporub over your nose and offer to help her clean up the puppy poops?? Then give her the bag of lime. Oh, not dolomitic lime, the powdered type.

good luck

offer her a gift certificate for a pooper scooper company. There are people that will do this as a job. Maybe if you pay for it once, she will keep up with it later, or offer to split it with her. Or offer a kid in the neighborhood $$ to do it. As for the barking... try ear plugs, or a radio, or a white noise machine. Try to be friendly with the lady. Offer to walk a dog or two. If you get to be friendly, than maybe she would be more inclined to listen to you and change some things.

ring her doorbell or call her and let her kno how much recognize the good deeds she has been doing. ask her politely if she can pick up her dogs' feces after the have gone. if she gives a reason for it or w.e offer to help her. be a calm, good, neighbor. she must be very busy w/ all of those dogs!

If none of the other good suggestions listed here work our for you, but a big fan and blow the odor back at her house.

.... Health Dept........ ordinances........ poo dissolver.... What about laws about "public nuisance"? See if you can't get some of your other neighbors to work with you.

Call the code enforcer for your city. They can give out tickets and fines for not keeping up their yard. ( the laws are differnt for place to place so you will have to check)
