Believe it or not, there was an tragic incident in Southfield, MI where a toddler climbed out the window and fell to his death. Ironically, the child's name was something like "God Scientific Mohammad" I felt sorry for the boy, but I couldn't help wondering if his parents were on drugs. What child could have a normal childhood, when they're named "God".

You can name your child anything you want. Only religious people will frown on you naming your child God. And most other people will think you are a little off in the mind.

Who does this thing you call allow?
You can do anything you want, just be prepared for the consequences. Sometimes good sometimes bad, but none are supernatural.
Naming a child God would have very interesting consequences I think. Try it and let us know what happens just for fun!

That would just be cruel to the child. Imagine having your name be God.
Sam: Hello, what's your name?
God: God.
Sam: Bullshit.
God: No, really.
Sam: You're weird.
Then Sam walks away. God will have no friends. The child God will live a sad sad life of loneliness. Plus, don't you hate it when people have the same name as you? Who wants to have the wrath of God on you? Not me.

Of course you are... just don't do it to a male child... men already think they are God this would just give him more reason to. It would be a bit strange though... ya know going outside to find him and saying "God? God hunny where are you? God! Stop pissing on that cat! How many times do I have to tell you!" Your neighbors may have to call the cops.

Legally, I guess you can name your child anything you want.
But just because we can do something doesn't mean we should do it.

How would you have liked to have been named GOD? Imagine how you would have been treated your whole life. It's bad enough to be named "Jesus" (pronounced hey-zoos)
Parents should think more about what they name a child.

I don't think you would get arrested for it, but it may offend many people and you wouldn't want to put your child through hell. If you really like it though, you could probably use it as a middle name.
