This is simply to ask the question of why there is such a need to continually dumb down everything that we do. I mean everything from schools to the various advertising mediums, etc. This is in reference to the Simplified Spelling Society and others that think like them.

I vote for forced sterilization for anyone who can't write a full paragraph using complete sentences, proper spelling and correct grammar. You don't have to use English, but you do have to be able to follow the rules and structure of some common language.
Really, if you're allowing yourself to devolve to the point where you're communicating in clicks and grunts, what better are you than an animal?

It 's all in the decline of civilization theory . As a civilization ages it tries(sometimes too hard ) to simplify things , thus giving the appearance of a decline . Maybe we could look at it as the start of a new language , but just look at ebonics, they dont teach it anymore. People are always drawn to new flashy things , but most of the time we end up going back to what has always been , you know comfortable.
