Concentrate on your dress size and shape rather than your weight. Muscle weighs more than fat.

Just excercise until you want to die is what the dietician told me.

I'm being serious as well.

Your treadmill and your bike are your best friends in trying to lose weight. Exercise routines will not make you lose weight.

Exercise routines & stretching are for toning your body and making it stronger. To lose weight, you have to burn calories. This is best done through repetitive aerobic exercise - walking, running, swimming, biking.

I recommend you stretch and do light exercises for an hour, then treadmill for an hour. It takes about 30 minutes of aerobic exercise before you start to burn fat.

GOOD LUCK

Exercise is not your only consideration ... proper diet is just as important. Below is a great routine:

Eat 6 small meals per day, balanced 50-50 protein and carbs, add a small salad to two of those meals. Drink at least two cups of water with each meal. Alternate cardio and weight-training every other day (preferably in the mornings). This will help you to build muscle. Muscle is a fat burner that revs up your metabolism, and it takes up less space than fat so you'll look much more svelte.

Following this program diligently will help you to see amazing (and lasting) results in as little as three months.

What you really need to do is get your heart rate up to a safe level. What's a safe level? Where you are sweating and you feel challenged but not like you might pass out. Suggestion: Depending on your fitness level, you might want to consider sprints. Put the treadmill on a fast walk (not tooo fast - just a brisk walk) on a moderate incline (maybe 4.0 or 6.0) walk at this pace for about a minute - then increase the speed OR the incline for another minute, increasing your heart rate then slow it back down for another minute. Follow this for about 30 minutes. If that is too much for your fitness level - start at a slower pace and lower incline but remember -- if you do not end your workout sweaty and a little tired - you need to work harder. Good luck!!!

Agree that walking is probably the best way. A 30 minute brisk walk a day will give you a good start but I'd only use the treadmill if its raining outside. You're far better going out and getting some fresh air while you're at it.

I wear my MP3 player when i go out walking each day and load it with really fast songs that make me pound along to the beat....bit embarrassing when you get caught singing out loud in between puffing and panting but it's certainly helping to firm up my bum!

I have a treadmill too and I hate it. It is so boring! but I do use it sometimes when I can't get out side. Try doing 1/2 mile at a time (unitl your legs give out).

Aslo do as much as you can do on the bike.

Watch your food intake. Be careful of fattening foods.

Run on your treadmill. Ride on your bike.
You won't lose weight just by having them there!

Use the treadmill.
Use the bike.

Get some weights for your arms and chest, otherwise you'll have legs like a horse and arms like a t-rex.

A good sex session is said to burn up the equivalent calories as a 5 mile walk but the treadmill is probably less messy

Download your favourite tracks to sort out to. If you’ve committed to a half hour session a day then a 30-minute soundtrack of the most upbeat, motivating tunes will hold you pumped up!
