Well, first off, even as a bi-dude myself, I have no problem with a religions choice to ban gay marriages.

This is religion, and I do not have any rights to make them change their religious beliefs.

I do have an issue with religious groups pushing governments to ban gay marriage, as they should stay entirely out of the picture when it comes to politics.

As far as pedophiles go, they should be locked up (not in prison) and helped with a lot of psychological help. I'm not sure if they can ever be changed, but at least if they are not on the street, they can't be practicing on children.

Priests, and for that matter anyone in a position of power and respect in the community (police officer, gov't official, etc) should be held to a much higher set of standards when it comes to these crimes.

They are supposed to be leading by example, and when they break that mold, they harm far more people than just the abused. They rend trust from those around them and stomp it into the ground.

Love as always,

Sebastian

I think this is an inflammatory question.
Obviously, most Christians are outraged by pedophilia, as they should be.
Personally, as a Christian, I am not happy about gay marriage, but I am not actively opposed to it, either. As long as they don't try to present it as "normal", I have no objections. Legalizing it here isn't going to legalize it in Heaven...

pedohiles? If they are found guilty... hang the b*s*urds

Just say No to homosexual marrage. it has always been leagal in the US for any two people to enter into a contractual arrangement for just about any reason... if they want their leagal rights that is the way to assure them...

homosexual relations are an abomination in the eyes of God... thus no one of the Christian Faith can support such activity.

But, in this country at least, The Word of God dont alow for unlawful acts against them either.

There is nothing wrong with Churches standing up for what they believe, and the pedophiles need to rot in jail

Answer to the previous writer, it is well known that the Catholic church has protected their priests. That was going on 60 years ago when I was a child and has not changed.

don't worry crazyman, in another 20 years pedophilia will be accepted into society anyway. "pedophiles are born that way. God made them that way. why are Christians trying to keep them down?"
it's only a matter of time.

When you become a priest, you must take the hypocritic oath. Their duty bound to do this.

Obviously it's hypocritical to say the least, and criminal in more than a few cases.

Yeah it's very hypocritical and completely wrong that they would protect these sick people.
