The more I reflect on the life and teachings of Jesus, the more I think most of Christianity as practiced in the West today has very little to do with the real Jesus found in the Bible.

Jesus was Jewish, and if He was walking around in human form today, the world would be a whole lot different don't you think? I think that Jesus came here and did what He was suppose to do over 2000 yrs ago. It is our responsibility to follow His example. Christianity came after Jesus was crucified. The root word is Christ, basing the practice on Jesus and what He taught. Yes, times have changed, but the Word of God is still the same and applies today.

I think your statement is a little harsh but I think Jesus would gladly come into the Church's but what he would say could be quite shocking to the Churchs

Luke 19
Zacchaeus the Tax Collector
Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. He wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way. When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today." So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. All the people saw this and began to mutter, "He has gone to be the guest of a 'sinner.' " But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount." Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

Well first off WHEN Jesus does return he will not be a Christian because a Christian is someone who FOLLOWS Christ and of course he cannot follow himself. Second I think that too many people LUMP together a lot of different things under the term Christian. The only definition of Christian is the one I gave above and not someone who CLAIMS to be Christian. (like I heard one time Just because I say I am a garage doesn't mean you could park a car in me. ) Saying you are a christian does not make it so. Only truly Following Christ makes it so.

You're absolutely correct. Of course, technically, to be a Christian is to be a follower of Christ. So, since Jesus can't really follow himself, He wouldn't be a Christian - he'd be the head of Christianity. But you're right. A lot of Christians I see are more concerned with pointing out who is not Christian or righteous than with making themselves better people and more like Christ himself. They need to forget the motes in the eyes of others and concentrate on the beams in their own.

well...think about which form of Christianity would he fit in with to the best extent. I agree that most christian denominations aren't following much of anything he taught, but there is one that is. Preaching just like he taught his disciples to do, and really delving into the bible on a daily basis, and not just for surface knowledge, but to truly understand the prophecies and apply the principles in their lives

I agree. It was a sect created by a Roman Emperor and twisted with roman paganism to be what it is today. Then ministers twisted and changed the bible to give them power and take it away from the people.

Prophet Jesus according to the Bible will turn his face on his second coming when his followers will flock to him and he will say 'you are not of me.' Most likely b/c of the exaggeration in his prophethood as the son of God instead, so the kings on their religious thrones will have more followers, more power and more influence. And instead of having intelligent followers, they promote them to be like sheep and the ignorant accept.

I couldn't tell you. Jesus was born a Jew, and he despised the religious establishment of His own people. so if He walked around on earth today, He would probably avoid the megachurches and spend His time out on the streets.

Since He is Christ and those that believe in Him are Christians, i will say no cause we are His Children and the only way He will be ashamed of us is if we are ashamed of Him. Luk 9:26 For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and [in his] Father's, and of the holy angels.

Jesus is in heaven on the excellent hand of God the daddy making intercession for us with the daddy. He has the potential to ascend to heaven in despite actual and/or religious sort He desires. His Holy Spirit is living with us now. it is comparable to Him being interior the guts of each believer, and guiding us in our on a daily basis lives.
