Would Jesus support the war in Iraq?

When is war o.k. (if ever) in your opinion? Is there ever a situation where Jesus would say, "Yea, bomb them..."?

The only war he would be for is the war against oppression, prejudice, hatred, etc, etc.
If he was for bombing anyone, I would lose my faith, because he would be a charlatan.

Of course the Lord doesn't condone wars or killing or suffering or any of the other terrible things that happen during a war. But the Lord has given us free will. Having said that there are people in this world who are evil and would love to see nothing better than war and upheaval in this fragile world.
So, all the horror in this world has nothing to do with the Lord. It has to do with all the evil people and the precious free will that the Lord has given us that these evil people abuse.

Interesting question. My personal opinion doesn't matter, but I can tell you what the Bible says. The Bible reveals that the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, with ‘all authority in heaven and on earth’ granted to him by his Father, will engage in a warfare that will destroy all of God’s enemies and establish everlasting peace, as his title “Prince of Peace” implies.—Mt 28:18; 2Th 1:7-10; Isa 9:6. The 19th chapter of Revelation gives a view of the greatest war of all human history, surpassing anything that men have ever witnessed.

As far as humans taking justice into their own hands... it is not our place.

The Bible is full of war stories. There was one war where GOD specifically said not to let anyone live- no person, nor their cattle nor their sheep or livestock. They were to be totally annihilated. This had to do with the ungodliness they were living and GOD did not ish for them to be able to spread any of their pagan beliefs.
SO yes sometimes war is justified and whether or not you believe in this war ( Iraq ) should have nothing to do with Jesus. It is not a spiritual war.

God told Joshua and the children of Israel to destroy every living creature on the land they were going to take which God prepared for them. These people refused to obey God and couldve lived peacfuly if so but they chose not to and God healped them wipe them out. There are several storys where God sent Israel to war with other nations but God also sent other nations to war with Israel because of rejecting the law of God. God destroyed sodom and gamorah Himself because of their unrepentant heart. Now i believe that if we fought a war that wasnt supposed to happen, i think we would be driven away just like veitnom. God didnt want us over their and it showed. If the country is split over a war this isnt a sighn either cause Israe dealt with the same thing omong there people.

He didn't have any trouble violently throwing the thieves and money changers from the temple..When he comes back, it will be as a warrior king, not a gentle lamb.
So I would say, that given great injustice, Jesus would say "Woe unto thee".

Never. The Bible speaks of rendering your service to God alone. No an army or country. Plus he and God want peace. When would they ever be in favor of war.

If a man slaps your face, turn and let him slap your other cheek,

doesnt sound like someone who would support any wars.
