Two crowns? All the teeth your child has right now are baby teeth! Why do they need to put a crown on a baby tooth? It will just fall out in a couple years! Maybe you should get a second opinion, because when I had a crown put in, it was over $760.00 and that was in the 90's!!

Aren't those teeth going to fall out anyway in about a year?? Crowns are very expensive. An adult crown costs anywhere from $600-$900 where I live. I know this may seem harsh, but why don't they pull the teeth instead? It's only 2 teeth, it gets the decay out, and they are only baby teeth. It just seems like a lot of money to spend on something that won't be there in a year or so.

It does not make much sense for a crown on a 4 year old's mouth. They will probably loose the teeth in the years to come. Maybe you should be thinking of extracting the teeth instead of crowns. When I had a crown done it was $800.00 and that was a couple of years ago in the Washington DC area. I think you need to get another opinion!

my son needed lots of dental work when he was only 3. he had 2 crowns and some fillings and 4 caps too. i asked about the angel fund, and whatever they couldn't pay for, our insurance did. so be sure to ask your child's dentist about the angel fund. by the way i cannot believe the ignorance of these other people's answers. yes a small child can need crowns it's life... some kids just have bad teeth no matter how well they eat and brush.

The best answer would be from your dentist office!

I see people are shocked by this I've seen kid's w/crown's at a young age and it's not the dentist fault.

I think crowns on baby teeth might be a rip-off. You need a second opinion. From a trustworthy dentist. Do some research.

I know of a good dental plan that would save you a ton of $ on that. Everyone qualifies for it, there are no limits on visits or services, on-going conditions are accepted, no waiting periods or age limits, and its really affordable. $11.95/month for an individual or $19.95/month for a whole household. It also includes vision, Rx, and chiropractic. Let me know if I can help
