Taking your question literally - meaning that it is a known fact that pedophilia did take place - I sincerely think that they are quite wrong in shielding these dangerous people. They must be brought to justice for destroying people's little children who have not nor can do them any harm.
I do not understand what they are trying to say to their congregants and to God when they try to hide this ugly, evil sin.
In so many instances the so-called priests are allowed to continue functioning as though they just came down from the cross.
They are hired to carry out God's work here on earth but instead, they are Satan's emissaries.
Would God endorse pedophilia - sodomy of little boys - when he totally and permanently erased Sodom and Gomorrah for the very same sin? Would he champion the raping of little virginal girls, when He sought a virginal girl to carry His only-begotten Son?
I don't care what religion or sect. When it is found out, I believe they must get rid of these demons in the most profound manner. They are not helping the communities; they are doing very grave damage to the future of the world.

I think a Christian sect that purposely sheilds a known pedophile from prosecution deserves the hell they preach, and may they all rot there!
On the other hand, I agree with the first answer...what about men who are falsely accused and their entire lives ruined?

they are afraid to show the weaknesses in their doctrine. Yes, it takes great sacrifice and strength to do the whole celibacy thing... some just can't handle it. And, since they are short on troops, they do what they can to keep what little numbers they have.

I think it is sickning and anyone who hurts a child scars them for life should be locked up forever.

what do you think of a man who is accused of being a pedophile, and it ruins his whole life, whether or not it is true....
