Unfortunately society has put standards on what police can carry. And the 44 Magnum is just a little too intimidating for the normal civilian to be comfortable having a cop carry one. So we are restricted to carry a smaller but higher capacity handgun. Less power more bullets.

The most effective weapon at short range is the sawn off shot gun. Police should carry them in their cars to use as necessary. We should not expect them to risk their lives for us and then deny them the means.
Also the death penalty should be extended to violent crimes and the burden of proof reduced so that criminals find it far more difficult to escape punishment.(did some one say O.J.)? Why are we pussy footing so much. We shall all die in the end.

No Most police departments use clocks. But you can usse the .44 as a back up. You'll probably need seeing as your so familiar w/ guns.
