corndog requires deep frying so it is quite oily. Plus you never know what exactly they use to make those hot dogs. I once saw a program that talked about the process of making hot dogs. Well, let's just say what they put in those hot dog franks.

As far as tuna sandwich goes, as long as you use low fat mayo and pile up the lettuce, tomato, and maybe some bean sprout, it has to be a healthier choice than corndog

Well, it all depends on the kind of tuna, how it's prepared, if mayo is added, what kind of mayo, what kind of bread, what kind of hot dog is in the corn dog, the content of the batter, if it's baked or fried and what type of oil it's fried in.

For comparison, let's go with things we're all familiar with: Subway tuna sandwich and a corn dog from the fair.

6" tuna on Italian bread with all the fixings, except oil and vinegar dressing --
(530 cal/31 g fat/4 g fiber/45 g carbs) Depending on the bread choice, you could add another 1-3 1/2 fat grams.

1 average corn dog at a Fair --
(460 cal/19 g fat/56 g carbs)

Now, looking at the statistics, the sandwich has more fiber and less carbs, but the corn dog has less calories and far less fat. However, you can change the preparation and have your tuna sandwich turn out to be the healthier choice, by far -- but you didn't specify. So, on average, the corn dog wins!

A lite corndog, with no dog and not too much corn. The tuna sandwich is ok, but not so healthy for the tuna.

I think the tuna sandwich wins this one! The corndog is deep fried and high in saturated and trans fat. With the tuna sandwich you can make it so much healthier by using reduced fat mayo and tuna packed in water, not oil. Plus it's a good source of protein and B vitamins.

That's an easy one. Do you know what the put in the hotdog in the corndog? Trust me...you don't want to know. Plus, they're fried. But, you know what is in Tuna? Tuna!! Just eat it in moderation. Even eating nothing but Tuna can make you gain weight if you eat enough of it.

Depends what is in the tuna sandwich- normally a tuna sandwich would definitely be healthier- it has a lot of protein. However you wouldn't want to put tons of Mayo it. Eggs aren't really bad because they also have a great amount of protein - so if you put that in your sandwich that would be better,

Corn dog doesn't have a lot of nutrional value but may be less calories then a tuna fish sandwich if you add a lot of mayo etc in the sandwich

I would say tuna for sure because it has alot of iron in it. A corn dog is made up of all sorts of animal parts (unless it's just beef) but I still think tuna is way healthier.

Tuna has mercury in it. Thats metal going in your body. And although it has small anounts, it does have its toll over periods of time. Corndogs contain heavy nitrates, and high in sodium and high in fat unless its kosher...but who makes kosher corndogs nowadays? A hamburger would be a better choice if you were on the run....So None! Just eat a ham and cheese sandwich....whole wheat bread toasted....and a pickle! with some green tea.

Corn dog taste better, but tuna is better/healtier for you. You will get full off one tuna sanwitch, where as if you eat a corndog, you will have to eat 2 or 3 before you get full.
