Family doesn't base decisions on that because they know about long term happiness. The way someone makes you feel is only fleeting. Show them that your life becomes better with him (instead of your feelings), and then they'll be happy with your decision.

Wonder about what it is they don't like. I mean what problems does he have? Enjoy how he makes you feel without getting involved in any problems. If he treats you well your family will eventually accept him. Give it a few years.

your family has no- idea what the two of you have together. nor should they, that's a private affair. between you two. they don't live your life and they don't have to be with that person ..you do! so as long as hes not abusive, mentally or physically and he don't live off of you for free.. its none of there business! you are grown right?

I would keep dating him anyway. It's your life, and your boyfriend. Your family can tell you that they don't like him all they want, but if he makes you feel special or nice or whatever, then I say keep dating him. ^_^

Tell your fam about the positive things in your relationship. People go wrong when thy tell the fam all the bad shyt....
