That's a personal question! It is not abnormal to masturbate when you are young and virile, even when in a satisfying sexual relationship, but anything in excess could be potentially a problem. As long as it is just a healthy, quick fix release then you haven't got much to worry about. Have you discussed this with your partner? Maybe you need to discuss your 'healthy' sexual relationship with her, if your love making isn't satisfying enough that you have to top up as it were. Don't feel guilty about it - if your fantasy is not about your girlfriend when you masturbate - then you might be in trouble!

I do probably about twice a week I don't think there is an "acceptable" amount. I know a guy that does as often as he can, he is 23. I was like that at 23 as well.
