Luke 5:1-11.

It's where Jesus calls Simon Peter to be His disciple, after a miracle of Jesus causes Simon to catch tons of fish.

Simon tries to push Jesus away because he feels that he's too unworthy and sinful to be His disciple -- but Jesus simply tells him, "Do not be afraid; from now on, you will be catching people."

For a very long time, I too did not want God in my life, and one big reason was that I felt too unworthy and too sinful to be one of His followers.

So, Luke 5:1-11 speaks to me particularly powerfully.

My favorite story right now is of Jacob and Esau.

Both sons of Isaac, they were both equally self centered, spoiled brats, one of favorite of the father, one the favored of the mother.

Both would take advantage of the other, every opportunity that they got.

The story unfolds in such a way, that one would think WHY would GOD pick either one of them to continue the line of salvation?

But the real lesson is, its not about the outside of a person, its about their heart. Jacobs heart was for GOD, and Esau's heart was for himself. Jacob was trainable by GOD and accepted his lessons, Esau complained bitterly about his lessons from GOD.

I love to remember when I feel heavy with the burdon of my sins, and my seemingly inability to control my weaknessess, that it is my heart that GOD looks at. IF my heart is always ready to learn from my lessons, I am on the narrow pathway.

THere is really no one verse, the whole story has to be read to understand the message , so I would say Genesis 25 verses 20-34 and then it is continued in chapter 27,28,29,30,31,32,33.

Actually the same lesson can be learned from reading of David, he was such a sinner on the surface, but GODs own words state that David was a man after his own heart.

Favorite story: David and Saul, the whole thing about David sparing his life, and Saul chasing him over and over again.
Favorite verse: 1 Corinthians 13 4-8
"Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."

The one where it mentioned another prophet that God would send to the people (Muhammad)................ O yea, they took that one out a while ago, didn't they?

Most people don't know this is what was actually in the original Bible.
