Just a different personality. I'm a touchy-feely type, too, but not everyone is. If you guys really care about each other, you'll work out a compromise.

then that means he is a different type of person, most people love to be held and touched while others hate it when someone touches them. for example i hate to be touched by anyone i just cant stand it and at first i would push my boyfriend away too but i would not make it so noticable, but now i got used to it after bein with him for 7 months now i dont care that much but there is days where i do not want to be kissed or touch. that does not mean he is not interested it just means he doesnt like all that passionate stuff, you can sit down and have a talk with him and tell him how you feel and why he pushes u away everytime u touch him.

Not necessarily. Some people, men and women, are just slow movers. Is it early in the relationship? If it is, this is not necessarily a bad thing. A guy wanting to go slow shows he doesn't take the relationship for granted, and wants to be certain before he gives his heart (and his displays of affection), that you are not just playing around with him.
If you've dated for at least 4-6 months and he still doesn't kiss you or hold your hand, even in private, then you should certainly have a quiet discussion with him and see how he feels.
Hope this helps.

He could still be interested in you and just be a different personality type. Try to find out how he likes to be shown he's loved and if you both really love each other you'll be able to show each other affection in the way you like it best.

he probably is a guy who did not get much affection at home, and is unsure of himself. Give him some time, and tell him what you want. But if he does'nt respond, i guess it's time to find someone else. not kissing / cuddling makes a relationship not worth it in the long run. I personally prefer kissing to sex, but then, who said I'm normal :-)

Men feel that they need to be rough to be manly...and they believe that being too cuddly will undermine that. This is why your dude is like that..take it in a good way and try to make him comfortable with touching you.

he does love you but you should know that by his other actions. my husband has been like that too from the time we were still dating. he doesnt like being efectionate in public. he feels so shy as if everybody in the mall is looking at us. well it used to make me feel so sad but then he sat me down and explained to me that its not that he doesnt love me i must please understand that he doesnt mind holding me and cuddling me at home in our bed but not in public. that is you we hardly go out anymore which works for the both of us! Ha Ha
